Lately, I have really been struggling with feeling like God in untrustworthy and like He has betrayed me and let me down time after time. I was pretty much at the end of my rope. I knew I needed help, what I didn't know was how to find it. I did a search on Amazon and found a couple of books. One was not very helpful at all, the other was helpful, but left me with some unanswered questions.I truly believe that God led me to this book. I was looking for a video on YouTube and happened to see a listing for a video titled "Betrayed By God" I was curious and clicked on the link. The video was by the author of this book Shana Schutte. I didn't even watch the rest of the video. I knew I had to try to find a copy of her book. So I went to Amazon and ordered a copy for Kindle.
In my humble opinion, this book deserves 10 stars! Shana is very transparent about her own struggles in this area. She also offers some practical and easy-to-follow advice for people struggling in this area. She also talks about the pitfalls that can result from feeling betrayed by God. For me, this was the right book at the right time. I was frequently humbled and convicted as I read. I know this is a book I will turn to again and again when I am struggling. This book was proved to be life-changing for me and I firmly believe, my relationship with God has been forever changed by reading this book. If you are struggling with feeling like God has betrayed you, let you down, or disappointed you, then you need to read this book. This book is refreshingly honest and rooted in Scripture. Thank you Shana for taking the time to write this book and for being so honest about your own struggles and pain.

One thing that struck me early on in Betrayed by God is when Schute says that Gods plan involves blending her emotions with Gods truth.
Another Analogy that stuck with me is when she compared to how when we feel betrayed by God our heart becones like that garden that is overtaken by weeds.
We are reminded that in order to avoid believing the deception that we are betrayed by God we need to remain grounded in God's Word.
We are reminded too that allowing ourselves yo believe God has Betrayec us is an open window for letting Satan in.
I highly recommend this book be added to your library if you have ever allowed yourself to feel Betrayed by God.

I have tried to read many times... but I lose interest after a bit... i want to finish it and i will and maybe try reading if over again
After a betrayal or major disappointment I have more questions than answers. Shana does a great job of helping you see what may have been your part in the problem and how to grow from there. I learned a lot from this book and bought 10 for my ladies Bible Study.
Think you hold no grudges with God, this book just might show you where you do. Well written and based on scriptures I found this book to be a gem on my kindle. I highly recommend it for any person in Christ who has been abused, abandoned or mistrusts people or God. This book can help you change your relationship with God and the people you love if you open your heart while reading it. I'm thankful to have found this book.
I didn’t find this book very helpful. Though I feel the author meant well, I found her counsel overly simplistic and didn’t think she was being totally honest. Either she didn’t experience or wasn’t up front about the rawness of singleness. In addition, I didn’t feel her doctrine was all that solid. I can’t reccomebd this book at all.
