I did not like this book at all. I have used Blue Guides for years (okay, decades) and have always found them excellent and authoritative. The were exhaustive, with excellent diagrams, maps and other illustrative material. As I was only going to be in Rome for 5 days and did not want to schlepp the full version I thought the concise guide would be a good compromise. I was wrong. The descriptions were not concise but rather weak and not nearly detailed enough. There was much less important plans and drawings. In the end I would have been happier with the full version even with the extra weight and density. If you like and value the real Blue Guide treatment and are used to that level of detail and accuracy I would not recommend the concise version.Product details

You won't regret getting this one. There might be better but I have't seen it.
